Patriots Rally For Late Win Over Metros
The Somerset Patriots weathered a fine game by Quebec shortstop Oliver Gallo to upend the Metros, 5-4, at Arm & Hammer Park. Gallo went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Reece Herrera snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 2 innings. He's now 2-1 on the season. Getting the save was M.C. Bostock, his 18th.

Somerset took a 5-4 lead on Roosy Dempsey's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Dempsey hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Quebec pitcher Jim Clark visibly frustrated.

"What we get, we earn," Dempsey told the Somerset Observer.

The Patriots sit in second place in the Eastern League Southwest Division with a record of 61-44.
