The Binghamton Rumble Ponies knocked off the Lancaster Barnstormers, 5-1, in Eastern League action at NYSEG Stadium. Binghamton pitcher and Normal, Illinois, native Dom Bussom had an outstanding performance. The winner was Bussom. He threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Romeo Rodrigues. Norman Clark earned the save for Binghamton.

Ricky Jager drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Binghamton. The 26-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Samuel Turner. It was his 54th RBI of the season.

"Nothing fazes Dom," said Binghamton manager Zane Tharp.

The Rumble Ponies improved their record to 59-53 with the win over Lancaster.
