Providence Wins, Lawrence has 3 hits
The Providence Crabs topped the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 11-5, with youngster Clark Lawrence playing a key role. Lawrence was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2 for the Crabs in the win. Jaden Buch earned the win, while 25-year old right-handed pitcher Chad Widmer took the loss for New Hampshire. The loss drops the Fisher Cats to 2-3.

Cuthbert Flake had a big bases-clearing double for the Crabs in the bottom of the second inning. With Providence leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Chad Widmer and swatted a double to center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Crabs ahead, 6-0.

"We came out aggressive," said Crabs manager Craig Hodge. "We came out swinging the bats."
