Frigates Earn 7-6 Win Versus Grizzlies
The Halifax Frigates defeated the Gateway Grizzlies, 7-6, in part because of third baseman Nehemiah Revere. Revere was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Frigates. Lyle Sponseller, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. The 7th-place Grizzlies dropped to 60-59.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Eric Tran came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Gateway pitcher Owen Wood, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Halifax on top, 7-6.
