Dark Knights Defeat Barnstormers, 4-2
|
Carson Schott was a major factor in the 4-2 Yonkers win over Lancaster. The Dark Knights left fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. John Fisher earned the win to go to 9-5. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 1 strikeout in 6 innings of work. Isidro Torrez closed the game out for Yonkers, earning his 2nd save.
In the bottom of the third, Thomas Pendleton hit a run-scoring double. The 24th double of the season for the Yonkers shortstop put the Dark Knights on top, 2-1.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Pendleton told the Yonkers Observer.
