Crabs Use Late-Game Magic to Beat SeaWolves, 5-3
Erie got a decent performance from pitcher Oscar Killmer, but it wasn't enough to beat the Providence Crabs. Providence won the Holyoke Grounds contest, 5-3. Killmer threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Alexander Edwards was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities. Providence, with the win, climbs to 30-92.

The Crabs beat the SeaWolves in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Oscar Young produced in the bottom of the eighth. Batting against Travis Salsgiver, Young gave his team the lead, 4-3, when he hit a run-scoring single.

"It was a good effort all around," said Young.
