New Haven Shuts Out Hartford Behind Hamilton, 5-0
|
In a remarkable performance, New Haven Ravens starter Douglas Hamilton beat the Hartford Yard Goats, 5-0, in an impressive 4-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Ravens hurler finished with 9 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Hartford manager Tristan Beam said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
This season, Hamilton has compiled a 7-7 mark with a 3.23 ERA in 21 starts.
