The Gateway Grizzlies beat the Altoona Curve, 20-1, at FNB Field. Gateway shortstop Aeon Hicks had an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. The victory puts Gateway at 50-78.

With Gateway leading 3-0 in the bottom of the first, Hicks hit a changeup from Hunter Rentschler for a 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Grizzlies ahead, 5-0.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Gateway manager Brian Hotard.
