Rumble Ponies Lose 3-1 Decision to Portland
Portland starter Ken Jensen kept the Binghamton offense from doing much damage. The right-hander leaned on his fastball in leading the Sea Dogs to a 3-1 win. The winning pitcher was Jensen, now 8-6. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Portland has now won 4 in a row.

Colton Rector aided the Portland cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman drove in one run.

Despite the victory, Rector was prickly with assembled media after the game. He said only that he was "happy with the win."
