Ricky Jager was a major factor in the 7-5 Binghamton win over Hartford. The Rumble Ponies left fielder went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Charlie Wieser picked up the save for Binghamton, his 6th of the year. The Rumble Ponies raised their record to 76-56.

Jager hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth to help the Binghamton cause. The single, which was hit off Gary Walsh, allowed Binghamton to take a 2-1 lead.

Jager said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "There's a good feeling in the clubhouse right now."
