The Yonkers Dark Knights stopped the Akron RubberDucks, 8-3, behind an impressive performance from Randy DeWitt. The 27-year old second baseman made life miserable for Akron pitching. He was 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Yonkers pitcher Luís Guevara got the win, upping his record to 1-0. P.J. Hetzel got the loss. The loss has the RubberDucks at 3-2.

Jaxson Daniels went 1-4 with a walk for Yonkers. The 22-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Luther Hara. It was his 4th RBI of the season.

"We'll put that win in the can," said Daniels, "and go after the next one."
