Walk-Off Seals 79th Victory for Metros
The Bowie Baysox could not turn a fine performance from shortstop Todd Anchondo into a win. Instead, the Quebec Metros prevailed, 8-7, in 12 innings. Anchondo went 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Gino Luna claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 5-4. The first-place Metros have won 6 in a row.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Quebec catcher John Greenwell, facing Ben Leingang, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Metros the 8-7 win.

"The fans went nuts at the end," Greenwell said.
