Metros Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Quebec Metros wiggled past the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 3-2, at Metros Ballpark. The win was highlighted by the performance of Quebec pitcher Dominic Amora. Conrado Portillo, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. With the win, Quebec goes to 7-3.
The Metros relied on third baseman Jared Lee for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 15th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring double to seal the deal.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Justin Maurer, the Quebec skipper.
