Trash Pandas Suffer 5-4 Loss to Tennessee
|
Tennessee parlayed a decent outing from starter Jackson Baione into a solid win over the Rocket City Trash Pandas. The final score was 5-4. Rocket City is 1-3 after the defeat.
Jorge Escalante had a big 3-run home run for the Smokies in the bottom of the third inning. With Tennessee leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 24-year old left-handed pitcher J.J. Porter and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Smokies on top, 5-1.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Rocket City manager Alex Salcedo. "The effort was great."
