The Altoona Curve and Erie SeaWolves left the fans buzzing.

Erie starter Jeremiah Rector put the Altoona offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his curveball in leading the SeaWolves to a 4-0 win. Rector, now 3-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Adony Lingenfelter, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.

The SeaWolves got a big at-bat from center fielder Ryan McNish. For the game, McNish went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Erie a 2-0 lead.

"It was our day today," Rector told the Erie Observer. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."

Altoona now has a record of 7-4.
