Braves Stymie Biloxi, Take 6-1 Win
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Biloxi had no answer for Mississippi Braves starter Junior Mayes, who flummoxed Shuckers hitters as the Braves cruised to victory, 6-1. The loss drops Biloxi to 1-4.
Lorenzo Rodríguez dealt the Shuckers a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Mississippi leading 3-1, Rodríguez hit a first pitch splitter for a 2-run single.
"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Mayes.
