Flying Squirrels Rally For 6-2 Win
|
Tristan McCans was a major factor in the 6-2 St. Petersburg win over Shreveport. The Flying Squirrels center fielder was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Ethan Martin came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. With the win, St. Petersburg improves its record to 6-5.
McCans had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Lindy Dondelinger, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Flying Squirrels a 6-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for McCans.
"Today was a lot of fun," said McCans.
