The first-place Shreveport Engineers took on the St. Petersburg Flying Squirrels in front of a spirited crowd.
The Shreveport Engineers got a stellar performance from pitcher Logan Lepak, who handcuffed the St. Petersburg offense en route to a win, 3-0, at Engineers Ballpark. The Engineers, now 11-1, have been sizzling early on.
Lepak, who was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, threw 87 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing no runs.
Lepak told the Shreveport Citizen: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
