The Altoona Curve beat the Hartford Yard Goats, 6-4, at Dunkin' Donuts Park. Miguel Perea, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Luke Leigh earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The win moves Altoona to a record of 3-6.

Altoona used a timely hit from Joey Goddard to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Curve ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Goddard told the Altoona News.
