Biscuits Keep Clicking, Win, 6-2
|
The Montgomery Biscuits knocked off the Tennessee Smokies, 6-2, at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Charles Dehner was a big reason Montgomery won. The first baseman went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times. Noah Henson picked up the win in relief. Todd Lee took the loss for Tennessee. R.J. Roudebush closed it out for his 5th save.
Derek Meyer, who is tied for 6th in the SL in triples with 1, came through for Montgomery with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. The right fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 3 RBI.
"This team keeps finding a way to win," said Montgomery manager Daniel Adkins.
Montgomery, now 11-3, is playing great baseball to start the year.
