Biscuits Dump Travelers, 4-3
|
The rain did not keep Montgomery and Arkansas from finishing their game.
Getting offensive support from Remington Brattoli, the Montgomery Biscuits topped the Arkansas Travelers, 4-3. Brattoli went 1-1 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Biscuits. Lucas Astacio closed the game out for Montgomery, earning his 2nd save.
A key moment came with no one out in the bottom of the seventh. That's when Biscuits right fielder Vimaro Cobian hit a cutter from Jeff Montgomery for a run-scoring single, putting Montgomery up, 4-3.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Cobian.
The loss drops Arkansas to 13-6.
