Braves Deal Scouts 9-0 Defeat

The 3-hit performance of D.J. Taylor, who leads the SL in bases on balls with 23, helped the Mississippi Braves beat the Chattanooga Scouts, 9-0. Ellis Ledwith, the winning pitcher, is now 2-1. He went 5 innings, allowing no runs on 5 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 2. Mississippi has a record of 7-10.
With Mississippi leading 1-0 in the top of the seventh, Taylor hit a curveball from Rio Deans for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Braves ahead, 3-0.
