Trustmark Park was the site for Southern League action featuring the Rocket City Trash Pandas and Mississippi Braves.

The Mississippi Braves beat the Rocket City Trash Pandas, 9-5, at Trustmark Park. Cosmé Miguel, in particular, was impressive. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Hugh Sokolowski, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 5 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 1-1.

Mississippi designated hitter Nevan Berry helped the Braves go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Berry hit a run-scoring single off Rocket City pitcher Esteban Espindola.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Miguel told the Mississippi Herald.

Rocket City, with the loss, is 6-13.
