Mark Talt was a major contributor to the 10-7 Mississippi win over Chattanooga. The Braves first baseman was 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Jonathan Watt picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 1-1. Ray Laboissonniere sewed up the save, his 6th.

With Mississippi leading 7-6 in the top of the eighth, Talt hit a changeup from Keon Davis for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Braves ahead, 10-6.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Talt told the Mississippi Herald.

The loss drops Chattanooga to 10-10.
