The Shreveport Engineers electrified the crowd with a walk-off win.

In a close game at Engineers Ballpark, the Shreveport Engineers edged the Mississippi Braves, 4-3. Shreveport designated hitter Malcolm Tyler stood apart with his performance. He was 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Wayne LaBarge came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.

Steve Tapia was the walk-off hero for Shreveport. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Engineers first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Tapia.

Shreveport is now 13-5.
