The Shreveport Engineers overcame a good performance by Chattanooga center fielder Pierson Gibson to knock off Chattanooga, 6-5, at Engineers Ballpark. Gibson was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs. The win takes Shreveport to 16-4.

Miguel Carlos, who is tied for 2nd in the SL in doubles with 8, helped out the Shreveport cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the left fielder went 1-3 with a double.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Carlos.
