Corpus Christi beat Jacksonville at Whataburger Field, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Skyler Strum. He went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Avery Corrigan nailed down his 4th save. Corpus Christi goes to 16-7 with the win.

Strum had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Bobby Anderson, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Hooks a 6-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Strum.

"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Strum.
