Scouts Bang Out 10-0 Win Versus Northwest Arkansas
|
Chattanooga Scouts pitcher Fernando Najera was all business, helping his team muzzle the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 10-0. Najera, now 2-0, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing no runs. The Naturals, now 3-18, continue their inauspicious start.
Glover Mohammed, who is tied for 8th in the SL in RBI with 16, chipped in for Chattanooga with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
"The Scouts definitely had our number," said Northwest Arkansas manager Luis Gonzales.
