Lonnie Schmieg pitched well, but his team, the Tulsa Drillers, still dropped a 4-3 decision to the Shreveport Engineers at Hammons Field. Maxwell Jackson finished the game for Shreveport and earned his 2nd save. Shreveport, with the win, is 15-6.

Rex Vallejo had a direct impact on the outcome. Vallejo contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Shreveport up, 1-0.
