Smokies Paste 3-1 Loss on Drillers
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Tennessee Smokies and Tulsa Drillers.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Tennessee Smokies and the Tulsa Drillers, Jimmy Marsh was the difference-maker. The Tennessee right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Marsh went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 4-1. Noah Schneider was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
One consequential at-bat came in the top of the first. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the batter, Luke Dyer, hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 1-0, Tennessee, and helped them go on to win.
"This team is capable of getting on a roll," said Tennessee skipper George Chappelear.
Tulsa drops to 15-12.
