The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp stopped the Frisco RoughRiders, 6-4, behind an impressive performance from Mike Rundle. The 22-year old right fielder made life miserable for Frisco pitching. He went 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. Jacksonville reliever Rodney Stewart was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Michael Gross took the loss for Frisco. The win gives Jacksonville a record of 20-7.

One significant plate appearance for Jacksonville came with one out in the top of the eighth inning. Jumbo Shrimp pinch hitter Davon Prude hit a bases-clearing double, which helped his team go on to win.

"It's not about individual awards," Rundle told a Jacksonville Times reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
