A 6-RBI performance from the 25-year old left fielder José Carrera helped the Rocket City Trash Pandas beat the Corpus Christi Hooks, 11-0. Marreese Scott, the winner, improved to 2-2. He held Corpus Christi to no runs on 2 hits over 7.2 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts.

Cart Sobota had a productive at-bat for the Trash Pandas with no one out in the bottom of the second. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the catcher hit a 3-run home run. The at-bat was important in the Rocket City win.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Sobota told the Rocket City Daily News.

The win for the Trash Pandas lifted their record to 14-14.
