Drillers Get Thrilling 6-5 Win
Despite a great performance by Shreveport first baseman Andujar Villarreal, the Tulsa Drillers defeated the Engineers by the score of 6-5 in 12 innings at Hammons Field. Villarreal was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. The winner was Collins Nelson in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Kevin Bayer took the loss. Despite the win, the Drillers have a lousy 8-21 record.

The decisive blow was delivered by Gareth Clyburn in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a solo home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Kevin Bayer to win the game for Tulsa. The home crowd went nuts.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Spike Peck.
