San Antonio Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Dwyer
|
The Mississippi Braves defeated the San Antonio Missions, 8-7. Doing his part was right fielder Arend Dwyer, who belted 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. With the win, the Braves improved to 15-16.
Helping the Mississippi cause was Ron Montgomery. In the top of the eighth, the 24-year old catcher had a run-scoring single to make the score 8-7, Braves.
"The vibe's good," said Mississippi manager Derek Campbell. "We've got to keep it going."
