The Frisco RoughRiders overcame a fine performance by Arkansas shortstop Josiah Salas to defeat the Travelers, 7-5, at Dickey-Stephens Park. Salas went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Spencer Murphy finished the game for Frisco and earned his 5th save.

Frisco used the timely hitting of Wes Johnson to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the RoughRiders on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll savor this win," Johnson told the Frisco Daily, "then get ready for the next game."

The loss makes Arkansas 19-11.
