Drillers Win at Midland, 6-4
|
Tulsa shortstop Jack Bright contributed to his team's 6-4 win over the Midland RockHounds. Bright, who is tied for 4th in the SL in doubles with 10, went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Drillers. Atlas Acuña picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-2. Albin Mertes was tagged with the loss. The 4th-place Drillers lifted their record to 17-13.
Brandon Kayser, the 27-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Kayser contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Tulsa up, 6-4.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Midland manager Edgar Mendoza.
