Crouch Belts 2 Homers in 6-1 Win
|
Good production from third baseman Ryder Crouch helped the Pensacola Blue Wahoos topple the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, 6-1. Crouch hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Blue Wahoos. Jack Benally, the winner, goes to 5-0. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts over 7.1 innings. After today's action, Pensacola sits at 15-16; Jacksonville slips to 15-16.
Crouch had a key at-bat for Pensacola in the bottom of the second. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and gave Pensacola an early 3-0 lead.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Crouch told the Pensacola Citizen.
