The Frisco RoughRiders got a marvelous performance from pitcher Mark Joyce. The left-hander kept the Arkansas offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-2 Frisco victory at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. The RoughRiders now have a mark of 19-16.

A.J. Palacios had a big 2-run double for the RoughRiders in the bottom of the second inning. With Frisco leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Kieran Velez, who is tied for 6th in the SL with a 2.38 ERA, and swatted a double to center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the RoughRiders ahead, 4-0.

"Mark was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Frisco manager John Dresher.
