New Haven designated hitter Montes Matias picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Lincoln Bighorns, 8-7. New Haven reliever Sidney Mason picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Forrester Blankman took the loss. The Ravens raised their record to 6-6.

The result might have been different, had it not been for 23-year old center fielder Ed Stearns. Stearns had a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Ravens ahead, 8-7. For the game, Stearns had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
