Missions Take Tight Tangle
|
The San Antonio Missions beat the Frisco RoughRiders, 7-6, at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. San Antonio shortstop Coltrane Jaimes led the way. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. San Antonio pitcher Nick L'Ami got the win, upping his record to 3-0. Samuel Alcântara got the loss. Frisco has now lost 5 consecutive games.
Rocky Adie came through with a big-time hit for San Antonio. The right fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"You can't hate how you win if you win," said San Antonio skipper Mario Velasco.
