Drillers Get One-Run Win at Pensacola
The Tulsa Drillers beat the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 8-7, in part because of catcher Alex Sheppard. He was 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Gore Lane earned the save for Tulsa, his 8th of the year. The Drillers raised their record to 15-28.

The Blue Wahoos had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Drillers going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Anthony Hanson came to the plate. Hanson hit a 2-run triple on a 2-2 changeup from Pensacola hurler Ric Rice. It was Hanson's 4th triple of the year.

"We got the victory," said Sheppard. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
