Travelers Deal Scouts 5-2 Defeat
|
Chattanooga designated hitter Levi Brewer had a good game, even if his team did not. The Scouts dropped a 5-2 decision to Arkansas at AT&T Field. Brewer went 3-5 with 2 home runs. Jason McCafferty notched his 10th save of the season. With this game in the books, Arkansas is 26-16, Chattanooga 24-18.
Arkansas left fielder Ian Gasperetti contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 24th hit of the season and put the Travelers ahead, 4-2.
"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Gasperetti.
