Montgomery Makes It 6 Straight with 6-3 Win
|
The Montgomery Biscuits beat the Chattanooga Scouts, 6-3. Montgomery pitcher and Waimalu, Hawaii, native Paolo Gobbo led the way. Kevin Yeamans sewed up the save, his 2nd. With the win, the Biscuits have a record of 32-14.
Ford Mallon, who is tied for 5th in the SL in stolen bases with 10, helped out the Montgomery cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Mallon. "But I have better dreams after a win."
