Corpus Christi played host to Frisco at Whataburger Field.

The Corpus Christi Hooks besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Frisco second baseman Eric Page by beating the RoughRiders, 6-4, at Whataburger Field. Page was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The save was credited to Dylan Lowry, his 2nd.

Roddy Tran had a big 2-run home run for the Hooks in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Corpus Christi leading 4-2 and a runner on 2nd, he got a changeup from Luca Price and swatted a home run to left. It was his 5th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hooks ahead, 6-2.

Corpus Christi manager Jim Kleeman praised his team's "businesslike approach."

The win hiked the Corpus Christi record to 29-18.
