RoughRiders Clipped, 2-0
|
Arkansas pitcher Lanny Edmundson had a large part in his team subduing the Frisco RoughRiders, 2-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Arkansas pitcher Dominic Bates got the win, upping his record to 5-0. Murray Torregrossa got the loss. Shane Miser picked up the save, his 6th.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the eighth inning. That's when third baseman Richard Molnar hit a single. The Travelers went on to win.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Arkansas manager George French.
Arkansas is now 38-8, while Frisco is 25-21.
