Getting an impressive start from Seth Wiggs, Shreveport beat Alexandria by the score of 3-2. Shreveport reliever Kevin Bayer picked up the win, raising his record to 2-1. Jack Kelley was tagged with the loss. Killian Murphy earned the save for Shreveport, his 16th.

Shreveport took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Isaac Fowler hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Engineers in front, 3-2.

"I believe in our guys," said Shreveport skipper Dustin Booth. "I like the energy they're playing with."

The second-place Engineers have won 5 in a row.
