The Shreveport Engineers topped the Frisco RoughRiders, 4-3, in Southern League action at Engineers Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Shreveport pitcher and Raleigh, North Carolina, native Logan Lepak. The Engineers have an impressive 34-13 record.
Had it not been for Elijah Vinson, the results might have been different. In the bottom of the seventh inning, when the Engineers were trailing 3-2, Vinson hit a 2-run single for Shreveport, giving his team the lead.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Vinson.
