Curve Show Nerve in Tight 3-2 Win
|
Altoona Curve pitcher Gregory Duff whisked his team past the Erie SeaWolves, 3-2. Altoona reliever Kristian Paez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Albert Broughton absorbed the loss. With the loss, Erie falls to 10-6.
The Curve procured the win, in large part because of second baseman Gavin Greenwalt. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"I just try to put up zeroes," said Duff, "and let the rest take care of itself."
