Halian Novinger added some punch to the Rocket City offense, helping them outmuscle the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 8-7. In the game, Novinger, who is tied for 5th in the SL in home runs with 10, was 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Rocket City reliever Chap Shockley picked up the win. Ryker Brembilla took the loss for Pensacola. Adam Burwell recorded the save, his 1st.

Rocket City designated hitter Joseph Thompson contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 40th hit of the season and put the Trash Pandas ahead, 8-5.

Thompson told reporters after the game: "This one was touch and go, but we were able to put it in the win column."

The 'W' lifts Rocket City's record to 23-32.
