The Shreveport Engineers defeated the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 6-4. Left Fielder Nathan Calhoun deserved a large share of the credit. Calhoun was 3-7 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Engineers. The Southern League Texas Division-leading Engineers are 42-12.

Calhoun delivered in the clutch for Shreveport. In the bottom of the 16th, he took a 1-1 sinker from Pensacola pitcher Juary Cabral and parked it over the fence. The 2-run home run won it for Shreveport.

"This game was intense," Calhoun said, postgame.
